Consultations

Nutritional Therapy can be a vital tool in getting healthier and feeling better. However, I will be the first one to admit that food-based therapies take time, patience and sometimes a little experimentation.

Get in touch with me if you would like to learn more about my approach with personalized nutrition or if you are unsure of whether I’d be the right person to assist you.

The Consultation Process

Prior to the appointment, you will be e-mailed a Nutritional Therapy Questionnaire including a three-day food diary which would enable me to better evaluate your health goals and look at your current diet. This also provides me with ample time before the appointment to undergo any additional research or advise on Drug-Nutrient interactions or Nutritional Depletions as a result of any medications used.

First Consultation

The first appointment is usually 60-75 minutes depending on the individual’s needs. This appointment is an information gathering session where I will go in depth around my questioning of the Nutritional Therapy Questionnaire pertaining to your health goals. This is where I incorporate the Functional Medicine approach, where I look at symptoms and the various systems of the body which may be compromised. We then device a personalized dietary and lifestyle plan catered to your health needs. I may recommend further testing with your GP or functional Testing, which is done through me. I may also recommend supplementation if necessary. (The price for testing or supplementation will not be included in the consultation fee). All recommendations will be e-mailed to you in your health optimization plan within 24 hours.

Follow up Appointments

Follow up appointments are 45 minutes. This appointment is where we will go through all the dietary recommendations that were given in the prior appointment and work towards implementing new foods that will help you towards your health goals. It is important to me that the changes I recommend are practical and sustainable to your lifestyle. My goal with every client is to bring them back to a state of vitality.

Packages

I offer 3 and 5 session packages on the follow-up appointments. My approach to Nutritional Therapy is very much structured and it will take a certain amount of time to start seeing the benefits of dietary changes. The first appointment is where I can gauge the number of appointments needed and discuss your options.

Please note that nutritional advice is not a substitute for professional medical advice and/or treatments. I will ask you to notify me of your GP at the time of booking and will liaise with them if needed.

Request a free, no obligation 20 minute consultation

I offer a complimentary no-obligation 20-minute phone call to better understand your health goals and to gauge if I would be the right practitioner to help you. If I am unable to help, I will happily refer you on to another therapist or a GP that would better be suited to your needs.

Puja has helped me to understand how food is an essential building block for a healthy lifestyle. With her careful, detailed assessment of my eating, sleeping and exercise habits, she designed menus that would focus on improving my sleep, focus and energy needs. Her knowledgeable background put me at ease, her gentle manner became an attitude I wanted to emulate. Now I calmly think of food as not only a joyous part of life, but also as an important fuel for body and mind. Thank you, Puja!

Puja has helped me personalize my nutrition by incorporating new foods to help me balance out my meals, which have reduced my sugar cravings. She has also optimized my nutrition to where I can understand the foods that are beneficial to my body and remove the foods that were causing inflammation. As a result, my digestion is better and my energy levels have increased. I have also lost weight in the this process and gained muscle mass. She has enabled me to increase my diversity in plant foods and anti-inflammatory foods which are beneficial to my body given my family history of Autoimmune disease. I am now on a good path of creating a healthy balance between my diet and exercise.

I came to see Puja for my Distal Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which is a genetic disorder. I found Puja to be very kind and thoughtful and she was able to put me at ease from the very beginning. She was able to advise me on the right type of diet for my condition paving the way for recovery, considering my health issues. She took the time to explain her nutritional advice and the reasons behind the changes, making it easy to understand and implement rather than just giving me a plan to follow.  I would definitely recommend Puja to anyone who was looking into dietary and nutritional advice.
